We are looking for you:
If you are passionate, an expert, or just curious come and lead a session.
This is an open event and that means that everyone is on the same level.
Below you will find an example of the open white board that we will be using at the event, at the top is the rooms and at the left is the time slots.
Once everyone arrives we will have a facilitated discussion to fill the board and the conference will begin. Each session will last 30 mins, 25 for presentation and 5 for Q&A, the remaining 30 mins will be used for networking and transitioning to the next room.

The format of an individual session can vary greatly here are just a few examples:
- Traditional one to many type presentation where one person talks to a room full of people
- A panel discussion where 3-5 people present on a given topic to a room full of people
- A group discussion where a room full of people come to discuss a certain topic
- A guided networking session where a leader facilites a networking game or activity.
- It could be a work session
- A brain storming session
- Really it could be anything, do what feels right there are no boundaries here this is an unconference.
Speakers
Be a speaker. You have something to contribute!
Guidelines
- There is no compensation for speaking and no special treatment for professional speakers, coaches or sponsors. Everyone is on a level playing field regarding the opportunity to present.
- Be prepared. Rehearse your presentation and make sure you are able to complete it on time.
- Come up with a short, informative and catchy title for your talk. This is the only information participants will have to decide on what presentation to attend.
- Available time slots are every 30 minutes, giving each speaker 25 minutes and 5 minutes will reserved at the end of each session to allow the next speaker to set up and participants to move to the next session.
- We will have LCD projectors and screens. If you use a Mac you will need a cable to convert to VGA.
- We anticipate being able to provide an internet connection for speakers.
- Do not make a Sales Pitch presentation. The point of your talk should be to educate, inform and inspire participants in topics related to careers, freelancing, small business or related technology tools. If you sell a product or service, please feel free to mention that information during your introduction about yourself or when giving contact information and web site links. However, do not make that the point of the presentation. If you are a trainer or a business coach then this would be a perfect opportunity to give a taste of your services to participants but make your 25 minutes beneficial in and of itself
- For example: Say you moonlight by selling a health product. A presentation on the benefits of your product would not be appropriate. However, it would be appropriate for you to discuss the issues and unique struggles involved in moonlighting or having a second job in order to supplement your income.
